Train My Team (TMT) was started by Joanne Evans to provide local, West Wales companies with cost-effective and relative training for team members throughout their organisations. Fundamental to Train My Team’s core vision is the belief that engaging, experiential workshop sessions allow small local businesses to develop their employees at all hierarchical levels. As a result, this will provide value to businesses, their customers and the wider community. By developing and maintaining motivated teams, through peer-learning and bespoke training packages, TMT will help to provide local businesses and organisations with a strong platform to achieve their goals.
Joanne has been leading teams since her late teens, working in demanding surroundings in multi-million-pound businesses in London. Rapidly rising through the ranks and gaining more responsibility for the training and development of dozens of team members, Joanne developed her knowledge of team management in the challenging setting of a flagship store in central London.
Over the next few years she would continue to widen her skillset in team management and training throughout locations in Stratford, Piccadilly and Kensington before taking her expanding skillset to Brighton. Throughout this time, she became responsible for the training of employees throughout the business in addition to overseeing her own team on a day-to-day basis.
Following a five-year relocation to Australia, where she managed and developed teams in challenging social care situations, she has returned to Pembrokeshire and gained further exposure to the nuances of independent businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry. Over the past 6 years, Joanne’s experience of building a small family business has exposed the differences in the challenges that small businesses face in west Wales, but also the amazing opportunities that can be unlocked.
Joanne’s firm belief that affordable and relatable training can provide significant value to local businesses throughout west Wales underpins the principles of what Train My Team aspire to deliver. By providing these services, TMT endeavour to help companies and organisations realise their teams’ potential, providing additional benefit to their customers and local communities.
